My New Adventure Awaits...

Hi All! For those of you who do not know me, my name is Allison Hartman, formally, Gibson. I have been at the high school for the last 2 years teaching Global 9 and 10. This year I was approached with the opportunity to transition to the middle school to utilize my Literacy degree and Social Studies degree. I am eager and excited to teach 5th and 6th grade ELA and Social Studies. Let's have an awesome year!

GLOBAL 10 FINAL EXAM

Our Global 10 final exam is going to be held at 11:30 on June 17 at the high school. Please have your cadet(s) here by 11:15 in PT gear or uniform.

For the end of our 10.5 unit, students had to create a project depicting an event or discussing the new innovations in weaponry. Students could pick from an array of options including: writing an enduring issues paragraph, 1 page on how weaponry changed from WWI to WWII, drawing a propaganda poster, writing a song/poem, or creating an advertisement about one of the new weapons from WWI or WWII. This is designed to strike all learning styles and allow students to have leadership in the classroom.
Welcome to Ms. Gibson's Page. I am a second year teacher at Maritime Charter School. I currently teach 3 blocks of Global Studies. For the first semester, I cover all of Global 9. Once we finish, we transition into Global 10. It is my mission to make students culturally aware and understand the historical, geographic, economic, political, cultural, and environment relationships among world regions and peoples.
