Curriculum Maps

 

Maritime Charter School takes great pride in being in the forefront of lesson planning using the CHALK/Planboard software, along with sketching out curriculum maps according to NY State Module implementation guidelines.  An initiative of the Humanities Department in 2018-2019 was to create curriculum maps that could document cohesive instruction within the department, but to also track changes in content as these are living, breathing documents that are adjusted based on Cadets' needs and interests.  Below, you will find curriculum maps and interdisciplinary Naval Science units which highlight intensive writing tasks, along with a "Super 7" Vocabulary Map for carrying out an interdisciplinary common language discourse.
